Argh. It’s Tuesday. Friday feels decades away, and all you can daydream about is a cold drink and grub with friends. You know what that means – TACO TUESDAY IN SAN DIEGO! The city’s vicinity to Mexico means we’ve got some of the best taco deals in the country… but which one to choose? We at Rockin’ Baja Gaslamp have tried just about every Taco Tuesday in San Diego, so let us share our top 5 in the city with you!
5. El Camino – Little Italy
Yeah, it’s located in the Italian part of the city, but El Camino’s got enough tacos and margaritas to make you forget spaghetti even exists. Their taco tuesday is unique in that they offer delicious, half-priced entrees as opposed to a la carte tacos… but beware – they also have karaoke on Tuesdays, so expect some off-key tunes to accompany your meal.
4. El Patron – Mira Mesa
Famished for Mexican food and short on cash? Cruise up the 15 freeway to El Patron. For a buck apiece you’ll be able to score some TJ-style tacos. Can’t find a better deal than that in town!
3. Fiesta Cantina – Hillcrest
If you’re in a knock-back-margaritas, sign-Janet-Jackson kinda mood, Fiesta Cantina is your best bet. Located right across the street from the always popular Urban Mo’s, Fiesta offers the ultimate drunk deal: $5 for BOTTOMLESS tacos. Pair that with a happy hour margarita (2 for the price of 1), and you’ll be buzzed and happy in no time. Remember – drink responsibly!
2. South Beach Bar and Grille – Ocean Beach
Nothing makes a beer and a taco better than a gorgeous view of the ocean, so you’ve got to try South Beach for Taco Tuesday this summer! They’ve got KILLER fish tacos, and on Tuesdays they’re only $2.75 each. South Beach is cash-only though (eesh, it’s 2013!), so hit the ATM before you go!

If we do say so ourselves, Rockin’ Baja has got the total Taco Tuesday package! $2 tacos, $4 margaritas, tons of TVs to watch sports, and enough space for you and all your friends – what more could you want? How about a spacious, heated patio, fun and attentive servers, and the perfect location in Downtown? Yeah, we got all that too. Try a $2 dirty taco – crispy carnitas, smoky chipotle, avocado OH MY!
